How to keep stress levels in check

Stress is a common thing in our present society. It is important to know that stress can trigger heart attacks, strokes, cancer and stomach ulcers. Why is this?... in the long run, if we do not disperse stress hormones through regular exercise or relaxation, they become highly toxic to every major organ of the body. If instead of going for a walk or taking deep calm breaths, we opt for a bottle of coke to keep us going, that way, we will trigger the release of even more adrenaline which worsens the situation.

Here are a few tips on how to keep stress levels in check

Try and get 8 hours of sleep every night

Plenty of exercise

Take a very deep breath every 20mins; this slows the release of stress hormones

Learn to medidate. Yoga is a very good form of meditation
