So many people are guilty of being unable to identify their skin types, this makes them end up using wrong products.I am going to briefly explain how to identify your skin type and how to care for it.
Basically, there are different skin types; normal, dry/extra dry, oily, combination and sensitive skin.
Normal skin is smooth, has an even texture with small pores, has a comfortable feeling, may experience some shine and larger pores on the forehead, nose and chin.Water and oil content in this skin type is balanced. This skin type needs routine cleansing with foaming cleanser, exfoliation twice a week, moisturization and the use of sunscreen.
Dry/extra dry skin feels tight after washing, may look dry or flaky, rough and uneven, smaller pores, shows fine lines faster than other skin types.Dry skin requires special care. A lifestyle that includes a healthy diet with foods high in water content, such as fruits and vegetables, and 6-8glasses of water daily keeps it looking hydrated.Using richer cleansers, limiting sun exposure, and using a good moisturizer can protect your skin's natural oil.
Oily skin is shiny, especially through the T-zone (forehead, nose and chin),may have large pores, frequent breakouts, few fine lines. A healthy diet and regular skin care routine can prevent breakouts.Cleanse the face at least twice a day to prevent dirt accumulation and to keep pores open.Use an alcohol free astringent to remove excess oil and also, an oil-free moisturizer to keep the skin from over drying.
Combination skin is oily through the T-zone and has larger pores on the forehead, nose and chin.Care for this skin type requires regular cleansing, toning and moisturizing.
Sensitive skin can range from dry to oily, easily irritated by cosmetics, moisturizers and cleansers. This skin type is very sensitive and prone to redness.Care for sensitive skin requires mild,non-perfumed cleansing products.Use cleansers, moisturizers and an alcohol free toner formulated for this skin type.
This skin analysis will help determine the most effective cleansing, hydration and makeup products for your skin type and condition. However, when problem skin shows no improvement or worsens, see a dermatologist.
Very necessary info. Thanks girl
